Sherlock loves summer!

I got to meet Todd with Deni while he was in town this weekend. We went to one of those places where they fix dinner at your table with whirling knives, so there was an element of danger. However, no extra spark was needed: We laughed our heads off. Todd is downright hilarious, and even though he is a Yankee, he blended in right well here in the South….

Because he has huge, enormous, honorable goals. He doesn’t seem be believe in puny goals; no, his are the kind of all-encompassing goals that reveal his big spirit and driving concern for all the earth and its inhabitants.

Would that more of us would think this big!

She’s so warm and insightful. I love her need to make sense of things, to really think about what’s going on in her life. And her love of God and faith in him inspires me…

Because she touched my life over a year ago in a very simple, innocent and unexpected way, that changed me forever.

(And I have to tell her who I was, at that time, since I wasn’t new_start!).

She is incredibly supportive and loving on a very down-to-earth, genuine level of those who are important to her. I think anyone would be blessed to have her as one of their friends.

She’s smart and funny, a mom with a groundedness that’s admirable, and a faith similar to mine. It’s so great to meet kindred souls, whether on the internet or in person!

She and I share a similar faith and I think she has done incredible things in the face of adversity. I simple admire her strength :)

I feel Sherlock and I can definitely relate and she could possibly give me insight on surviving my 15-year-old son (with 2 more coming up behind him…ugh!). Just reading her entries regarding her son has given me some ideas to try and most of all HOPE!

was Wednesday midday. I met her at her office and she did some mentoring with me for a goal of mine. Then, she drove me to Davis Kidd for lunch and treated me to a very nice lunch. We, as is the norm for our meetings, had lots of good conversation. I am continually amazed at the way she and I have become such good friends in such a short period of time. I just wish that we had closer geographic proximity to each other. Friendships are more valuable to me that just about anything, and I am glad that I have found another one with Sherlock. :D
